The Amazing "Green Laser"

Ok, so I'm sure that if you’ve been to the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland in the past couple of years, you've probably seen little red dots that either chase you around the boardwalk or fly around on their own. These little red dots were probably being projected from the aperture of a finger sized red laser. Once a hot commodity, especially on the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk, these little lasers could be found at most stores and, at the time, were the most powerful laser that someone could buy. However, now a new era in lasers dawns, the green laser pointer. If you've been to the boardwalk more recently, you've probably seen at least a few large green dots chasing you around the boardwalk or flying around on buildings and the boards. These larger green dots are probably being projected from the aperture of a green laser. These larger, pen-shaped lasers are much more powerful then there predecessors, the red lasers. These “wonder lasers” go much further then red lasers (an approximate maximum of 1500 meters), their dots are much bigger (Maximum spot Diameter at 50 meters is a maximum of 20mm) then those of red laser which stay basically the same no matter what the distance, they run on two AAA batteries as compared to the red lasers which require 3 watch batteries, and they only cost about $19.99 at you’re an Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk store.

There are a lot of reasons why I think a green laser is amazing. I've only owned mine for a few days now but, so far, I have had so much fun with it. Personally, I think the best place to use your green laser is in Ocean City, Maryland, but I must warn you first, there are laws in Ocean City, Maryland that regard to laser pointers and I'm not responsible if you break them. The "laser law" states that, "Anyone under the age of 18 can not buy, or own a laser pointer. Laser pointers may not be used on any property, public or private, that belongs to OceanCity." There is a little bit more that goes along with these laws and, if you're interested, look it up on Google and take a look. Some things that I suggest are not pointing it at cars, in people’s eyes (because it can cause serious damage) and NOT SHINING IT AT HELICOPTERS OR PLANES BECAUSE THIS IS EXTREMELY ILLEGAL. Anyway, back to fun things you can do in OceanCity with your green laser. When I first got my green laser on the boardwalk, the first thing I did was taking it out of the box and shine it on the blue trash cans on the beach which were pretty far away if I might add. It shined as bright as a lantern as if the lantern were being held in-front of the can. I was astounded! The next thing I did was after I had left the boardwalk and returned to my hotel room. I, even though I highly suggest not doing this because it is illegal, shined it on the neighboring buildings progressing down from closest to farthest to see how far it could go. It went to the furthest building I could see and was only a little bit dull. Again, I was astounded. Knowing the power of my laser, I began shining my laser down in front of the people entering the building. Some of the people completely ignored the laser so as not to embarrass them selves however, some played along trying to stomp on the dot or chase it around. I had so much fun with my laser at my building that I was really upset when I packed up and headed home the next day. I haven't really found anything to do with it back in my suburban town but, I'm sure I'll find a use for this functional laser.
